What's New at CWBS?

Thirty Year 6 students recently visited HKUST for a series of hands-on STEAM activities. The afternoon was a fast-paced discovery of high-tech robotics and AI, featuring a popular challenge where students built their own climbing robots. As they collected stamps across various activity booths, many students found inspiration in the sustainability projects for their upcoming Year 6 Exhibitions. We are incredibly grateful to HKUST for their generosity and effort in hosting such an insightful experience.

We had two fantastic Sports Days last week under beautiful clear skies for our Y1-3 and Y4-6 students.

We loved seeing the dedication and energy of our students. From track events to team games, the students displayed outstanding athletic ability and a positive attitude toward competition and teamwork.

We particularly enjoyed the high level of parent participation and support—thank you for being such an active part of our school community and cheering so loudly from the sidelines!

Finally, a huge shout-out to Mr. Pattison and Miss Nicholls for organising this incredible annual event.

Well done to our Girls Football Team for becoming the Hong Kong Primary School Sports Association champions!

Hosted by QBS and SJS, the team excelled in the 16-school tournament. After securing three consecutive wins and achieving a +8 goal difference in the pool stage, they advanced to the final four. They secured a quick two-goal win in the semifinals. In the final against a strong DBIS squad, despite the challenges in the opening minutes, our team worked tirelessly to maintain their lead. Upon the final whistle, they secured their well-deserved victory.

Our students demonstrated incredible effort throughout the day and should be immensely proud of their achievements.

Our Y4 students took on an amazing challenge using VEX GO. They had to build their own robots and write the code to navigate a specific path and clean up rubbles following a simulated earthquake scenario. The room was filled with intense focus and incredible teamwork as they refined their programs.

Each successful clean-up run sparked cheers and priceless smiles, capturing a precious moment of triumph and achievement for every student. Way to go, future engineers!

A special thanks to Mr. Kai from RCHK for coming to help us with this engaging activity!
